Mother's Day is almost here, that special day when moms are honoured with brunch, breakfast in bed, flowers and anything to show our love! Well for us yarn lovers, forget the flowers because your Mom wants yarn!

I am ready to start my summer knitting even if the weather has not exactly been cooperating! Elizabeth Smith's Denis popped in my mailbox earlier this week from Quince and Co!

Local Yarn Store Day - a brick-and-mortar yarn shop appreciation day created to show support for small businesses while bringing together a unique community of knitters, crocheters, weavers and spinners to drive awareness and celebrate the craft. Come celebrate with us from 10-6 tomorrow - Saturday, April 27th!

It is Good Friday and a holiday...I am not going out of town until Sunday so I am open this weekend! I am really hoping for some spring weather to enjoy and not rain but today looks like a mostly overcast day!

Today there was no sun, only gray and intermittent rain so it was the prefect weather to wear a cozy, oversized sweater like Nik is here!

I really should be starting some warm weather knitting...Something to wear when it finally warms up but no I am not quite there yet! Bev, on the other hand has finished this summery top using Berroco Remix Light!

The sun hasn't been gracing us with its presence every day but it is starting to feel like spring is on its way! Perfect time of year to wear pieces such as the Ranunculus Kathy is wearing here!

Well I know that I am still knitting a winter sweater! I do have plans for some summer projects but I always have a bit too many things that I want to start!

I am definitely still winter knitting - especially with the cold and wet week that we have had!

We have been lucky not to have had as much of a winter blast as they have had in some parts of the country and while I should start with some spring or summer knitting...I haven't!

Elsewhere there is still way too much snow but here in the Windsor-Essex area, it feels like spring in the not too distant future.! Featured in Natalie in her beautiful Corrine!

Don't you just love cozy sweaters? Turtlenecks or colourwork are part of what I think adds even more to something special!

Once upon a time shawls did not get a second look from me! Now, however, if you were look at what I have in my favorites on Ravelry or Pinterest, there are hundreds!
