In these uncertain and unusual times, I hope everyone is keeping well and in good spirits. We are very lucky that we as knitters, crocheters and makers have something to keep us sane and grounded. With our having to self-isolate , I hope that you are finding some cheer and knitting inspiration among all the stress. In case you are wondering amid the COVID-19 changes, I am open for online orders only with curbside pickup and of course shipping by Canada Post.
Yesterday was the first day of spring so even with the current craziness, signs of it are popping up everywhere! Flowers are sprouting as Linda's posted pics show and my grandsons having outdoor fun!
We wanted to update you on the plans which we have put in place for the coming days and weeks, as in the last 48 hours many of our lives have been turned upside down.
Lately it has started to feel like spring outside with cold days sprinkled in between! With the fluctuating temperatures, sunny and then gray, overcast days, are you winter knitting or spring knitting?
Winter knitting for me includes sweaters and cardigans...Cardigans like this one that Connie knit for her granddaughter using Malabrigo Arroyo in the Plomo colourway!
Our Nightshift Shawl - Learn Mosaic Knitting Pre-Pay KAL had the last class Wednesday afternoon! Now I didn't finish until Wednesday and then I blocked it yesterday...Next week I hope to get some more "finished" photos but here is mine! The quarterly KAL runs until the end of March so don't worry if you aren't finished yours yet!
This really has been a strange winter for our weather in the Windsor area! Ed told me flowers are popping up in our backyard! Despite the sporadic sun, it has been cold and brisk outside so it is definitely knitting indoors and sweater weather! What do you have on your needles?
It is Valentines Day, here are a few blasts from past Valentine posts... What better way to celebrate than with a few heart patterns!
January marked the start of some spectacular KALs (Knit-Alongs) at the shop! These gals started and FINISHED these amazing shawls!
Although Angie has not been knitting for very long, she has been inspired enough by the friends she has made at our Thursday Knit Nights that she knits herself fabulous sweaters like this!
Rain, snow and cold...Great excuse for us makers to snuggle and knit or make something wonderful! Veronica, better known as xovee.knits on Instagram knit this gorgeous hat!
Cold and blustery weather doesn't get us down!!! Let's snuggle in and get knitting because there is no better time than now! Cozy shawls like the one Angela is wearing are wonderful wrapped around us like a big hug!
I can't believe it has been almost two weeks since my last post! It is January so that means that I have been doing inventory! I wish I could say that doing inventory is a fun job but I am finished! Now to get back to winter knitting...
I cannot believe how fast this year has sped by! Now it is only five days left until Christmas and another few days until the new year!
