I can't believe that October is almost over with Halloween next week! Christmas is going to be here before we know it...Have you started your gift knitting?

It seems like summer just ended especially with the crazy hot and then cold weather we have had but really....there are only 9 weeks until Christmas! Really? Only 9 weeks until Christmas?

Our evenings have started to cool down...With cool, crisp fall days on the horizon, it will be the perfect weather to start that sweater or cozy shawl, hat or cowl!

I am not quite ready to think of cozy knitting but then again I have already taken my woolen knits out! I even wore my Ninilchik Swoncho yesterday! Mirna here looks fabulous in her beautiful cabled sweater (Fain by Kim Hargreaves) which surprise, surprise! She knit this beauty in Rowan Handknit Cotton NOT wool from one of the Rowan pattern books!

It is that time of the year again to start thinking about your Christmas gift knitting and cozy knits for the cooler weather but for now it is still warm enough to wear a beautiful short sleeved cardi like Connie!

Tomorrow is the big day! The very first Fiber Sho organized by The Hook Pusher and Fusion Fiber Arts is happening tomorrow at 628 Monmouth Road in Windsor.

I can't believe that the summer is drawing to a close but it is already almost September, Labour Day weekend, and my daughter and grandson both have birthdays next week! Where has the time gone?

It is still hot and humid out...Do you have summer knits on your needles or have you started your cool weather fall knitting?? I have on my needles both, one of which is one of Veera's lacy cardigans!

I love to knit even in the summer but knitting with a worsted weight yarn...even beautiful Malabrigo Rios is hard with this heat unless of course, you are knitting in the air conditioned comfort!!

Are you enjoying your summer so far? I am even though it has been hot, humid and just bit more wet than I like! It definitely makes it easy to sit back, relax and knit like Natalie did! Doesn't she look fabulous in her new shawl?

Too hot to be outdoors for too long with the recent humidity but it has been the perfect excuse to knit indoors! Summer knits using linen, cottons are much easier to work on such as this beauty that Rita knit!

It has been so humid and hot that I am not going to even try to sit outside to knit! Inside the house with air conditioning on is where I want to be with my knitting in hand! It was even cool enough for my grandson to try on his new sweater:)
