I Love Yarn Day turns ten on October 10th, 2020 and to celebrate we’re calling all fiber fans to share their affection for yarn! Use the hashtag #iloveyarnday in your posts to show your love for yarn and motivate others to join in the fun!
Our evenings have started to cool down and cool, crisp fall days are on the horizon! It is the perfect weather to start that sweater or cozy shawl, hat or cowl!
The shop is OPEN with regular hours again! Masks are mandatory and hand sanitizer is to be used on arriving with no more than two people at a time. No putting yarn against your face please! If you want to continue to order online for curb side pick up that is also more than welcome. With the numbers climbing of Covid-19, I have decided against allowing groups - even small groups of four which means no classes.
The shop is now OPEN again with regular hours again! Masks will be mandatory and hand sanitizer is to be used on arriving with no more than four people at a time. No putting yarn against your face please! If you want to continue to order online for curb side pick up that is also more than welcome. If you are a group of 4 and would like to book our social table to be yours exclusively on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday afternoon, please give us a call ...For now, classes will not be offered unless my teachers agree to the smaller class size needed.
I look forward to fall so much with that wonderful change in seasons. We've been spending as much time as possible on the back patio knitting and as the weather cools, it's hard to think about not being able to have our knit afternoons and nights. Since sweater weather is here, let's take advantage of our remaining outdoor knitting opportunities.
Is it sweater weather yet? Maybe not quite but it is time to start knitting them! Connie wanted a year round sweater and I think this one hits it out of the ball park!
I can't believe that it is almost September and that summer is winding down! I just finished another summer tee...Are you still knitting for summer or are you knitting for sweater weather?
This has been a wonderful summer this year for finished summer tees and knit-alongs! Everyone has been inspiring each other to knit, knit, knit and even though we haven't been able to knit together in person, we have been knitting together apart!
It has been strange not planning any time away...Stranger still that I haven't seen any of my kids or grandchildren since Christmas and yet here we are in the middle of August already! I have been using my time knitting of course especially the summer tees that have been so popular!
This has definitely been the hottest summer...Do you have summer knits on your needles or have you started your cool weather fall knitting? Are you making shawls or summer tees?
Here we are still in the midst of the pandemic and it is the August long weekend! Does it feel like it is going to be a long weekend for you? For me it doesn't since I work from home and you really can't go anywhere, holidays and long weekends all feel the same.
Are you loving the summer so far despite this new normal? I admit to spending most of my days knitting especially since we have been staying home and have no plans to travel!
Too hot to be outdoors for too long with the recent humidity but it has been the perfect excuse to knit indoors! Summer makes using linen, cottons or fingering weight yarns are cooler to work with!
Summer has definitely come and boy it has been hot! Today's rain has cooled it down outside but it is still stay inside and knit or make weather!
