It's September! Can you believe that this weekend is the Labour Day long weekend? I'm not quite sure that sweater weather is here with the humidity yesterday. What is on your needles?
The Bloom Lane Tee by Ronja Hakalehto is a light and playful T-shirt with a floral colourwork yoke. The flowers create a beautiful statement detail, while the simple silhouette keeps the tee easy to wear. A fun knit for adding a touch of colour to your everyday wardrobe.
The T-shirt is worked seamlessly in the round from the top down. You start by casting on stitches for the neckline ribbing and then continue to the colorwork section. Few short rows are worked for a better fit at the back. Sleeve stitches are placed on hold while you work the body and hem. Sleeves are worked last using the Magic Loop technique or with double-pointed needles. Finally, decorative details are embroidered onto the yoke using both a crochet hook and a tapestry needle. The pattern includes a tutorial video that guides you through these steps.

This fun lace pattern mimics the bubbles and froth as the waves hit the shore. It has the right amount of interest to keep you engaged in the knitting, but is easy to memorize. The fun is all on the front, so you can enjoy the look of the knit fabric on the back of the sock.
The sock is knit from the top down with a heel flap and traditional gusset. I finished it with my version of a rounded toe.

Nancy used one skein of fingering weight main colour yarn. Her sample is knit all in one colour, but her testers had a lot of fun and got creative with contrast colours.

This past Sunday, Karen (kmae64) and I cast on the Agnes kofta by Kristin Wiola Ødegård. It is always fun to knit the same thing! The others who came decided to finish their current projects first.
FOs and WIPs
I knit more clothes to add to my granddaughter's Little Cotton Rabbits collection. I cast on the Coats and Cardigans pattern using leftover Schoppel Wolle Zauberball Crazy.
Julie designs them to be knit flat and then seamed. They are knit in pieces to the underarm and then joined to knit the yoke. I knit the version with the collar.
I knit the Small Arrows Lace Skirt from the Skirts and Trousers pattern using leftover Bergere de France Ideal which what I used for all of my Little Cotton Rabbits and when we ran the classes to make them but are now in clearance.
Finished except for all of the buttons that I need to sew on.
Here are all six of the new outfits before I sewed on the buttons.
The buttons are all sewn on and I think I have enough for a new package to ship.
I cast on my Fall KAL project, the Agnes kofta by Kristin Wiola Ødegård. I am using all of my leftover stash of Jamieson & Smith 2 Ply Jumper Weight for the contrast colours. Karen and I took half each of the Jamieson & Smith 2 Ply Jumper Weight 500g cones in FC47 Denim Blue and 202 Light Fawn for our main colour and CC1. I am ready to cast on the steek stitches and join in the round.

Debbie (@love.knit.spin.weave) finished another Jennifer Beale design and, as the others, it was a wonderful adventure.
She knit this stunning Stephenville Crossing by Jennifer Lee McLarty @knitjlee sweater with Julie Asselin Leizu Fingering.
There are cables and lace in the large, graphic yet delicate motif worked across the wingspan.
Linda (lmcnorton) finished this striking Deep Winter Coat by Wool & Pine.
There are cables on the sleeves, fronts and the back.
Patty (Travelbravely) finished her Weekday Tee by Aimee Sher.
The pattern has beautiful lace raglan lines.
Diane (ladi-di) knit this Citrus Dream Child by Carol Feller using a self-striping sock yarn.
