Can you believe that summer is half finished? September is coming up fast and there are 19 weeks until Christmas...Have you started thinking about fall projects or have you already cast on your gift knitting?
With the wild weather that we have had with the heat, rain, and high winds, I hope you have all managed to ride it out with a minimum of damage! Do you have summer knits on your needles or have you started your cool weather fall knitting??
Are you enjoying your summer so far? I am even though it has been hot, humid and just bit more wet than I like! It definitely makes it easy to sit back, relax and knit, knit, knit or make, make, make!
It has been either too hot or wet outside! We really shouldn't complain though because it could be hotter, there could be no air conditioning or severe weather! I am truly thankful that most of us have the luxury of being able to stay inside and cool.
It has been too hot or wet to be outdoors for too long with the recent humidity and recent rains but it has been the perfect excuse to knit indoors! Summer makes using linen, cottons or fingering weight yarns more enjoyable to work with!
Enjoy the Canada Day weekend! It is hot, humid and it looks like it might storm...Are you planning to be out and about or will you stay inside where it was cool and knit?
Yesterday was cooler out and today overcast and wet but summer is officially here! Summer makes using cottons, cotton blends and linens or fingering weight yarns more enjoyable to work with for our summer knits and to of course, to wear. Somehow though, I am working on two wool projects instead!
Summer is not quite officially here but I hope you are making use of cottons, cotton blends and linens or fingering weight yarns for some summer knits to wear!
Tomorrow is our annual Sue2Knits Knit in Public Day! Go Public, Go Social...Go Knitting in Public Yeah!
From 11 until 4 pm. So far it looks like we will have a great day so I look forward to seeing you! Bring yourself, your knitting, crochet, weave or yarnie project and join in some socializing and fibre fun with us!
It has been very hot and humid outside...Don't we seem to always complain when it's too hot, too wet, too chilly or too windy? I am not sure whether we are in for a scorching hot weather this weekend but I am going to try to sit and knit out in the gazebo!
What a gorgeous day it is today! I hope that the whole weekend will be one where we can take advantage of it to spend it outdoors enjoying some sun while sitting and knitting, gardening or having some fun with the grandkids.
It is the Friday before the long weekend and so far today, it is a little overcast with the chance of rain. It doesn't look like it is going to be very warm though. I do hope it will be warm enough to sit, relax and knit in our the gazebo on our deck.
Mother's Day is this weekend, that special day when we do everything to show our love! Well for us yarn lovers, forget the flowers because your Mom (or you) wants yarn or something related to her passion for making! Of course, we also have Gift Cards!
May has arrived, and while spring hasn't been very warm along with lots of rain and wind, we can still see the flowers starting to bloom and the trees that are budding and flowering!
