Sometimes I can't believe it but that it has been 6 years since I opened my doors with my broken leg and a wheelchair to get around those first few months but Happy 6th Anniversary!!!!
It is so wet out there! I can't can't think of anything better than to get cozy with your knitting or crocheting and spend some time making. It is 8 weeks until Christmas!
I'm not sure that I like how fast time seems to fly by...but it does and much too fast! October is almost over with Halloween coming up and with Christmas only 9 weeks away! It is going to be here before we know it...Have you started your gift knitting?
It should be sweater weather but it hasn't really felt like it yet! It really isn't too early to start your gift knitting though! Can you believe that there are only 10 weeks or 71 days until Christmas?

Yes! We are OPEN! I had surgery 2 weeks ago and while I am not supposed to run up and down the stairs and still have trouble bending and reaching...we are OPEN! Kathy (chantrykathy) has been on hand three days a week so that I can sit and recover. Thank you everyone for your support, kind words, prayers and encouragement to also take it easy!
It is officially fall with our evenings coming sooner and weather that has not made up its mind yet and too wet! Perfect weather to stay in and knit or make something though! What do you have on your needles?
I always look forward to fall with our colourful change in seasons. I'd like to spend as much time as possible on the back patio knitting but I hate the bees and wasps! It's hard to think about not being able to have our knit afternoons and nights because I have too self isolate for the week before my surgery. Since sweater weather is here, let's take advantage of our remaining outdoor knitting opportunities and enjoy it!
Is it sweater weather yet? Maybe not quite but it is time to start knitting them even if I still have a summer sweater still on my needles! What is on your needles? Many new patterns have been released recently...
I can't believe that it is almost September and that summer is winding down! Are you anticipating fall-ish, cooler weather? Are you still knitting for summer-ish or are you knitting for sweater-ish weather?
At this time last year, we had a wonderful summer of finished summer tees and knit-alongs! We were inspiring each other to knit, knit, knit and even though we couldn't knit together in person, we knit together apart! In the last couple of weeks, we have finally been able to knit together again and it is so good to see everyone so happy to enjoy those moments together with fun and laughter.
It is almost the middle of August! September is right around the corner and there are 19 weeks until Christmas...Are you thinking about fall projects yet or have you cast on your gift knitting?
Our Zoom groups are officially over! This week, we were able to meet again in person to knit and make together. On Tuesday, we held our Knit Afternoon in the shop while our Thursday Night group was held out on the deck!
It is so hot and humid out and of course it has also been very wet too...Do you have summer knits on your needles or have you started your cool weather fall knitting?? I know some of you have even started your Christmas gift knitting! Have a safe and wonderful long weekend!
