Wow! I can't believe how warm it has been outside! My deck has still been a little too breezy to sit out and knit comfortably though without everything blowing. Have you been knitting outside?
May has finally arrived, and while spring has not been as warm yet, we can see in the flowers starting to bloom and the trees that are budding or flowering!
We’re excited to be participating in the fifth annual Local Yarn Store Day on Saturday, April 30th - TOMORROW from 10 am until 5 pm! LYS Day is a wonderful way for customers to show the love for their local yarn shops and for yarn shops to thank their customers for their continued support. Get in on the fun and make LYS Day 2022 an event to remember!
We definitely had a mixed bag weather-wise this week, with snow, rain, cold and warm weather! Luckily we had wonderful weather for most of Easter weekend for my visit with my family!
Next weekend is Easter weekend! I will be closed for in-store shopping from Friday, April 15 and re-open on Tuesday, April 19th! The online shop is ALWAYS OPEN, although orders will not be shipped until Tuesday which considering Canada Post is also closed makes sense!
It isn't very warm outside especially with that blustery wind but if I look in my garden out front and out back, the tulips, allium and lilies are all sprouting up their tips! Spring flowers will be here soon!
The first day of spring was a few days ago but it doesn't feel like it yet with it being grey and chilly out! It is still sweater weather out there but I do admit to wanting to start warm weather knits!
Today is not quite as nice out as yesterday but it's still not bad! Spring knitting is coming! Are you ready to cast on a summer tee yet?
While it might have been snowing lightly outside today, I am trying to decide whether my next cast on will be another winter weather / sweater weather knit or a spring / summer / warm weather knit! What would you cast on when you have as many favourited as well as purchased patterns as me?
It has been looking a little like spring outside but I don't really think I am feeling it yet! Are you ready to start your warm weather knitting projects or will you continue your cozy projects for a few more weeks?
Weather has been a roller coaster with freezing cold one day, seasonal cold the next and even rain so I have been knit, knit, knitting whenever I get the chance...Have you too... especially since it is sweater weather?
Yesterday's rain, freezing rain and snow made it a good day to get cozy and knit. Are you knitting sweater weather sweaters or cardigans or are you anticipating spring and planning your warm weather knits while you work on your wips?
With the chilly sweater weather that we have been having, cozy sweaters, shawls and blankets make the best projects to reach for to work on and to wear or have you cast on a Valentine's project??
We finally got the snow that had been bypassing us here in the Windsor-Essex, Ontario area! We stayed put and did not venture out except for Ed with the snowblower and of course a shovel...The neighbour across the road has his new toy, a new attachment for his ATV so he was out plowing his and several neighbour's driveways to break it in!
