It is almost the middle of August! September is right around the corner and there are 19 weeks until Christmas...Are you thinking about fall projects yet or have you cast on your gift knitting?
Our Zoom groups are officially over! This week, we were able to meet again in person to knit and make together. On Tuesday, we held our Knit Afternoon in the shop while our Thursday Night group was held out on the deck!
It is so hot and humid out and of course it has also been very wet too...Do you have summer knits on your needles or have you started your cool weather fall knitting?? I know some of you have even started your Christmas gift knitting! Have a safe and wonderful long weekend!
Are you enjoying your summer so far? I am even though it has been hot, humid and just bit more wet than I like! It definitely makes it easy to sit back, relax and knit, knit, knit or make, make, make!
I love summer sweaters! I love wearing them and I love knitting them! Are you a summer knitter or maker of summer sweaters or do you prefer smaller projects like socks or a shawl?
Too hot or wet to be outdoors for too long with the recent humidity and recent rains but it has been the perfect excuse to knit indoors! Summer makes using linen, cottons or fingering weight yarns more enjoyable to work with!
We have had scorching hot weather all over the country and while I wouldn't say I'd be wearing a shawl outside but they are handy to have available to throw on in an air conditioned car, grocery shopping or whenever it gets a little chilly!
It is officially summer and we are really feeling it even when it is wet out. I can't say that I ever put my needles down...I knit and make year round and I hope you do too!
The weather under our gazebo was so comfortable this week that I spent a lot of time knitting outside... This morning was wet and gloomy...what will the weekend bring?
We are excited to announce that Re-Opening Day Phase 1 is Friday, June 11th! You will be able to come in, touch, look and browse as long as you wear a mask and stay 2m away from each other. Curbside pick up will still be available for anyone still not comfortable with coming in as well as shipping.
It looks like we are in for a scorching, hot weekend! Are you staying indoors to knit or will you knit under the gazebo? Unless it is really humid, the gazebo is usually fine so I am definitely going to try to knit outside!
After last weekend 's hot, humid weather, the rain and cooler weather is definitely putting me into the mood to just sit and knit!
Summer feels like it finally arrived! Is it hot enough for you? We even had to turn on the air conditioner a few days ago so that it would be more comfortable in the house. On my deck we installed a gazebo...was it last year? It makes it cool enough under there to sit, relax and knit. I am sitting there right now writing this blog/newsletter!
The temperature outside finally feels warm enough to wear my Wilson Top and yesterday, I was able to wear my Anker's Summer Sweater! It has definitely been unseasonably cool out so I haven't even purchased my plants yet.
