Happy Mother's Day this Sunday to all the Mothers everywhere - new, expecting, grandmothers, great-grandmothers or passed on....
That was some storm that we had this afternoon - the power went out for about 5 hours even though the rain stopped and the sun came back out! Great time to sit by the window and knit...or enjoy some sun out on your deck after the storm like Natalie and her Folia Triangle by Amy van de Laar.
Spring and Casapinka's Local Yarn Shawl...it certainly isn't finished yet but it already looks fabulous! This lovely shawl was designed for Local Yarn Store Day 2018:)
Summer shawls, scarves, lightweight sweaters and cardigans...What to knit? What to make?
Thursday night Knit Night and then the big loud boom! It sure felt like the floor shook and of course, we all looked at each other and..."What was that???"
I woke up to only a little bit of snow, my son-in-law shared a photo of the snowman they built at the bus stop this morning and my daughter-in-law posted a video of my grandson looking out at the snow coming down with this look of awe on his face!
It is Good Friday and a holiday...Since I wasn't planning on being away this weekend, I am open this weekend! I am really hoping for some spring weather to enjoy.
It is starting to look like spring out there but it still doesn't feel like it!
Free Pattern Fridays - Friday, March 16, 2018, Issue 45...I am definitely ready for spring! Are you?
I knit 2 Icelandic sweater this winter and I still have several pullovers on my list to knit but I think it is time to think Spring!
Imagine that! Only 2 weeks that I missed:) There really are a lot of free patterns available on Ravelry and other sites that I have enjoyed sharing with you. Now if only I knew how to organize them on my website by month and year for easier access to older posts...
First pouring rain, then sleet and snow last night and then it was sunny with the snow melting today!
I think that I have had quite enough of this winter...I want some sunshine, warmth and no more rain!
Today marks the start of the Chinese New Year - the year of the dog and marks the start of the Lunar New Year!
Hold on...Did he see his shadow? Do we have 6 more weeks of winter to snuggle up and knit? I say yes, we will definitely make more warm hats, sweaters and shawls!
