It is officially fall with cool, crisp mornings and evenings! Perfect weather to work on or start a sweater weather project or those special gift knitting projects.
There is a nip in the air in the morning and again at night already. I am ready to enjoy sweater weather but is it sweater weather yet? I find that I am not ready to wear my fall sweaters yet but I am ready to knit them!
I look forward to fall so much with the wonderful change in season colours. This year I have not spent nearly as much time on the back patio knitting but as the weather cools, I should. Sweater weather is barely here but we should take advantage of our remaining outdoor knitting opportunities.
Is it sweater weather yet? Maybe not quite yet but it is time to start knitting them especially with the heat wave they are expecting! What is on your needles?
I can't believe that it is the last week of August and that it is almost September. With summer winding down, are you anticipating the cooler fall weather and hopefully the end of all the rain, wind and flooding the past few days!
I hope that you have been enjoying summer despite the mixed bag of weather! The next few days are supposed to be a little cooler and hopefully dry!
Can you believe that summer is half finished? September is coming up fast and there are 19 weeks until Christmas...Have you started thinking about fall projects or have you already cast on your gift knitting?
With the wild weather that we have had with the heat, rain, and high winds, I hope you have all managed to ride it out with a minimum of damage! Do you have summer knits on your needles or have you started your cool weather fall knitting??
Are you enjoying your summer so far? I am even though it has been hot, humid and just bit more wet than I like! It definitely makes it easy to sit back, relax and knit, knit, knit or make, make, make!
It has been either too hot or wet outside! We really shouldn't complain though because it could be hotter, there could be no air conditioning or severe weather! I am truly thankful that most of us have the luxury of being able to stay inside and cool.
It has been too hot or wet to be outdoors for too long with the recent humidity and recent rains but it has been the perfect excuse to knit indoors! Summer makes using linen, cottons or fingering weight yarns more enjoyable to work with!
Enjoy the Canada Day weekend! It is hot, humid and it looks like it might storm...Are you planning to be out and about or will you stay inside where it was cool and knit?
Yesterday was cooler out and today overcast and wet but summer is officially here! Summer makes using cottons, cotton blends and linens or fingering weight yarns more enjoyable to work with for our summer knits and to of course, to wear. Somehow though, I am working on two wool projects instead!
Summer is not quite officially here but I hope you are making use of cottons, cotton blends and linens or fingering weight yarns for some summer knits to wear!
