It had been looking a little like spring outside but I had really been feeling it yet especially since rain was expected and a severe weather alert was in effect! (Note that the severe weather hit while I was still writing this). Are you ready to start your warm weather knitting projects or will you continue your cozy projects for a few more weeks?
I must say that the weather has been wild with the ice storm that left many without power and damaged or downed trees! We only lost power for a couple of hours yesterday morning unlike the stories I heard of no electricity until this morning. I have been knitting whenever I had the time...Have you been knitting too since it is sweater weather?
Yesterday's iffy weather followed by sleet and then cold made it a good day to get cozy and knit. Are you knitting sweater weather garments or are you anticipating spring and planning your warm weather knits while you work on your wips?
With the mostly grey, windy and cold sweater weather that we have been having, a cozy sweater, shawl or socks make the best projects to reach for to work on and to wear or have you cast on a Valentine's project??
Luckily, we still don't have a lot of snow but with the cold weather outside, it makes sense to knit something cozy! If you don't have anything on your needles or crochet hooks, you should have!
Today was bright and sunny but it is cold out! I for one am happy we didn't get too much snow but it is the perfect weather for digging out that work in progress or starting something new.
January usually means rain, snow and cold...We have not had any snow but we have had the rain and the cold blustery temperatures... Great excuse for us makers to snuggle and knit or make something!
Brrr!! The past few days have truly felt like sweater weather especially last night when it was so windy one of my heavy urns blew over! I love that I can turn on my fireplace, sit and knit.
It is a brand new year so Happy New Year to you all! As January begins, are you longing to cozy up at home with a hot cup of tea and a new WIP? What do you have on your needles?
