Nadine is rocking her Briochealicious Shawl that she knit! Doesn't it look fabulous? It is one of many, many shawls on my bucket list to knit...I even bought the pattern. Who is in to knit it with me?
This week I was able to take advantage of some gorgeous days to sit out front and out back to enjoy some spring knitting! It is even high time to start summer knitting projects or maybe like you you still have a bunch of projects still on your needles.
With the weather shifting from gray and chilling one day to hot and muggy the next, are you ready to welcome the promise of summer days?
Spring is here even with the weather being all over the place! My tulips are blooming but my Narcissus are no longer in their glory. However, I am still not sure that I will go choose plants for my planters yet even though they are standing empty!
Mother's Day is this weekend, that special day when moms are honoured with brunch, breakfast in bed, flowers and anything to show our love! Well for us yarn lovers, forget the flowers because your Mom wants yarn or something related to passion for making! Of course, we also have Gift Cards!
I hope that all of you are keeping well and safe in this new normal world of ours. With the need to stay home, we knitters and makers are very lucky to have our craft to keep our hands and minds busy. I know that it keeps me more focused and a lot less stressed out than I would be otherwise. I also know that I am spending more time than ever sitting and knitting! I hope that you are too!
This weekend would have been when the third annual Local Yarn Store Day would have happened! As you know, LYS Day was canceled due to the social distancing necessity. This is the "Breathe and Hope" shawl which Casapinka designed for LYS Day 2020. The name of it is a mantra of hers right now and I imagine some of you can relate.
Another crazy weather day out there! We should be gearing up to start our spring or summer knitting and what do we get? It is snowing outside!
It is Easter weekend...26 days since we started this NEW business as usual with curb side pick-up and shipping. Easter dinner with our loved ones this year will be memorable and shared virtually on the computer or iPad!
The change in how we are living our lives in these strange times has been all encompassing. We are now trying to keep little ones busy and engaged, trying to work from home when you have kids or pets who don't know why you are there every day. Who knew just a few months ago when we were celebrating Christmas and New Years and making future plans that everything would change? Now we must stay home to keep everyone safe...Be kind everyone and more than anything be thankful and be grateful! Support your LYS and other local businesses.
In these uncertain and unusual times, I hope everyone is keeping well and in good spirits. We are very lucky that we as knitters, crocheters and makers have something to keep us sane and grounded. With our having to self-isolate , I hope that you are finding some cheer and knitting inspiration among all the stress. In case you are wondering amid the COVID-19 changes, I am open for online orders only with curbside pickup and of course shipping by Canada Post.
Yesterday was the first day of spring so even with the current craziness, signs of it are popping up everywhere! Flowers are sprouting as Linda's posted pics show and my grandsons having outdoor fun!
We wanted to update you on the plans which we have put in place for the coming days and weeks, as in the last 48 hours many of our lives have been turned upside down.
Lately it has started to feel like spring outside with cold days sprinkled in between! With the fluctuating temperatures, sunny and then gray, overcast days, are you winter knitting or spring knitting?
