Alison Green’s Broderie Shawl is knit using 3 balls of Millefori Light, a DK weight self-striping yarn that is perfect for shawls. Two colors of Berroco Millefiori Light are combined with an easy slipped stitch pattern in an asymmetrical knitted shawl. Begin at the widest end and decrease for a fast, fun knitting project. The finished size is approximately 29” across (at widest point) x 50” long (after blocking). You will need 4.5 mm (US 7) needles or as required to get a gauge of 21 sts and 30 rows = 4” in St st (after blocking).

Midsommar Shawl by Dr. Erika is knit using two cakes of Berroco Estiva on 6.0 mm (US 10) needles or as required to get gauge. It is a free Ravelry download pattern for a crescent-shaped shawl that requires no counting -- just follow along with the easy set of drop stitch, eyelet, stockinette and garter stitch sections. The gauge is 14 sts/18 rows over 4” garter stitch with a shawl that blocked to approximately: 90” x 20”. The designer chose to start from light to dark, then started the second cake in the darker color and transitioned back to the light. Going from light-dark-light-dark could have an interesting striped effect. The choice would be yours.

Berroco Estiva is a soft 100% cotton tape yarn with 336 yds / 307 m that is machine washable!

Hazeldene by Xiaowei Design is from The Fibre Company’s Foundations SS20 Collection. It is free with the purchase of a Kit - to be added to the shop soon. I will not carry the quantity of yarn required for this pattern but I will order as required for each order of the kit but there is an order of the Fibre Company Meadow on its way!

WIP's and FO's

I am jumping between my WIPs and loving each one! I am partway through the 6th of 9 colours in the fade I am doing on my City Limits Sweater by Tanis Lavallee. I am using Koigu KPPPM yarn. Kits are available HERE for the Koigu. There will be enough yarn to hold one strand of Koigu with a strand of mohair. You will need to add the Garnstudio Drops Kid Silk or Lichen and Lace Marsh Mohair to complete your kit. The Ravelry pattern can be found HERE.

Which side do you like better? I like the reverse side!

I am finished one sleeve to the cuff and the other sleeve has 2 more sets of decreases on my Antonia by Cocoknits. After knitting the twisted rib cuffs, I will have a classic cardigan in a gorgeous colour!

My sister finished two sweaters with yarn she got from me at Christmas! This one is Bray by Jared Flood knit using West Yorkshire Spinners Blue Faced Leicester Aran.

The other sweater my sister Mary knit is Mariechen by Isabell Kraemer using Kelbourne Woolens Scout.

Dianne finished Miss Mouse for her sweet miss! The pattern is Girl Mouse by Little Cotton Rabbits on Ravelry.

Dianne got another WIP finished to FO!! Pretty socks!

These pretty socks are Irish Whiskey by Melinda Measor knit by Dianne as well! She got a lot of WIPs to become FOs!

Christina started and finished Beckley by Dee O’Keefe in a week! This shawl really looks like spring!

Libby finished her Odyssey Shawl by Joji Locatelli for the Malabrigo KAL right on schedule! The thread for the Malabrigo KAL completed projects can be found HERE! Now I know many more of you bought kits for this KAL, why have you not sent me pics of your project?

The light-weight leather strap is fixed to the ring on each side with a snap, making the strap removable so that the ring may then be worn with the included stick as a conventional shawl pin on both of these designs!
