The Barchan pullover is worked from the top down with short-rows shoulder shaping. Stitches for sleeves are picked up around the armholes and sleeves are worked in the round from the top down.

Needles
Size US 4/3.5 mm: 32”/80 cm circular and set of double-pointed needles.
Size US 3/3.25 mm: 32”/80 cm circular and set of double-pointed needles.
Optional: spare circular US 3/3.25 mm needle 32”/80 cm long for Tubular Cast On.
Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Gauge
26 stitches and 34 rows = 4”/10 cm in Stockinette stitch on a larger needle.
35 stitches of Right or Left Chart = 5”/12.5 cm on larger needle.
