Northerly by Caitlin Hunter Ravelry Pattern
Northerly is a top-down circular yoke sweater featuring colorwork, cables and lace for an engaging knit. It was loosely inspired by classic Scandinavian designs and the colors of Alaska in the winter. My sample was knit with elbow length sleeves and a cropped body, but these are adjustable to suit your preference!
Needles:
Note that needle sizes are suggested only. You may need to use a different size to achieve gauge.
Ribbing: US 2 2.75 mm
Main: US 3 3.25 mm
Notions: Stitch marker, scrap yarn or stitch holders, tapestry needle, cable needle, row counter (optional)
GAUGE
24 sts and 32 rounds = 4” 10 cm in colorwork on main needles after blocking
Note- You should always knit your swatch the same way that the pattern is knit—in this case, in the round. Block your swatch as you will your finished garment and allow it to dry fully before measuring.
Sizes: 1 (2, 3, 4, 5, 6) {7, 8, 9}
Recommended ease: 2-10” 5-25 cm of positive ease at the bust. Be sure to check the sleeve measurement of the size you choose to ensure a good fit. See schematic on page 8 for full fit details.
