Jólaskjól by Védís Jónsdóttir Ravelry Pattern
Finally the Holiday tree gets its own “Lopapeysa”. This tree skirt is designed with Nordic homes in mind that celebrate life, winter solstice and Christmas.
Finished Size: Diameter - 122 cm. Length from cast on edge to bind off - 56 cm.
Materials (included): Alafosslopi - 100g balls
A - 1238 Dusk Red or 1231 Garden Green x 7
B - 0051 White x 4
Not included:
6 mm (US 10) circular needles
6 mm (US 10) DPNs
6 mm (US J/10) crochet hook
7 buttons
Gauge: 13 sts and 18 rows = 10 x 10 cm in St st using 6 mm needles Check gauge and adjust needle size if necessary
NOTE: The tree skirt is worked in the round. Round begins and ends with a purl stitch for the steek. The opening is cut open after securing the steek. I recommend ChiaoGoo Twist Interchangeable needles, the 6.0 mm 5" tips and long cords. I used a 50" cable joined to a 37" cable to start with. The needles and cables are strong enough to withstand the weight and stress of working with so many stitches with a bulky yarn.
NOTE - The pdf Ravelry pattern will be emailed separately from Ravelry to you. If you include in the notes your Ravelry name, it will be added to your library.
Pickup available at 12045 Ducharme Lane and is usually ready the next day.
