Can you believe it? We have snow on the ground already and it isn't quite the middle of November but at least according to the weather reports, it is supposed to melt soon! On top of that, there are 5 weeks or only 43 days until Christmas!

Last week, the Inge Sweater by LE KNIT by Lene Holme Samsøe was part the conversation. This sweater has a clear reference to the style of the 60s and 70s, but also to even earlier knitting traditions. This makes the Inge Sweater a modern classic that is easy to personalize with the colors you choose to knit it in.

Size guide
The Inge Sweater is meant to have a positive ease of 12-18 cm (4.75-7”), depending on how loose-fitting you would like it to be. Picture shows a sweater with a positive ease of 15 cm (6”). Find your personal bust circumference by measuring around your chest (or the largest part of your upper body). Then look at the measurements at the beginning of the pattern (these are the finished measurements of the sweater). Positive ease is the difference between your personal measurement and the sweater’s measurement. For example, if your bust circumference is 94cm 37”, a size M will give you a positive ease of 15 cm (6”). (109 cm - 94 cm = 15 cm). 43” - 37” = 6”
Suggested Yarn

3 and 4 mm (US 3 and US 6) double-pointed needles. If using magic loop, you do not need the double pointed needles.
Gauge
21 sts x approx. 28 rows stockinette stitch = 10 x 10 cm (4 x 4) on 4.0 mm (US 6) needles.
21 sts in pattern = 10 cm 4” on 4.0 mm (US 6 )needles.
Note: The entire sweater is worked with two strands of yarn, 1 of each type. Wash and block your swatch before measuring gauge
Selecting you size
Porcelain Damask Sweater has an intended positive ease of approx. 15-25 cm (6-10”). The one pictured has 17 cm (6.75”) positive ease. This means the sweater has a circumference of 17 cm (6.75”) more than the model wearing it. The sweater in off white is shown with 22 cm (8.75”) of positive ease.
Find your personal bust circumference by measuring around your chest (or the largest part of your upper body). Then look at the measurements at the beginning of the pattern (these are the finished measurements of the sweater). Positive ease is the difference between your personal measurement and the sweater’s measurement. For example, if your bust circumference is 94cm 37”, a size M will give you a positive ease of 20 cm 8”
(114 cm – 94 cm = 20 cm). 45”- 37” = 8”
Length is measured mid-back, (excluding neck edge).

Last Thursday, I steeked (cut) the front of my Fie Cardigan by Kristin Drysdale before picking and knitting the first sleeve. I knit the sleeve cuffs with 20 rounds of 1 x 1 rib before binding off using a tubular bind off including the setup rows for a stretchier cuff. I did not work the setup rows on the bottom hem.

I have 15 rounds to go on the second sleeve before the cuff. I think I have the buttons chosen but I might still change my mind.
