It was chilly this morning and while it didn't really warm up, the sun was shining! It made me want to cast on a new summer project but I still have WIPs that I want to finish first! What about you? Are you ready for summer tees like these three?

The Alchemist Tee by Wool & Pine is the everyday tee you’ll wear on repeat. Fingering weight, seamless, with that gorgeous v-neck we love from the Pullover and Slipover, now in the easiest, most wearable form yet. The v-neck is deep enough to feel a little sexy, finished with ribbing and a center detail that pulls it all together. The shoulders fit so beautifully, the body is relaxed and easy, and the optional split hem at the hip adds a modern touch. It’s the tee you reach for without thinking, a real wardrobe workhorse to knit now and wear forever. Pull it on with your favorite jeans, layer it under a cardigan, throw it on and go.
Short and long sleeve options included. Easy top down knit, seamless contiguous construction and a beautifully ribbed v-neck collar with a special center detail.

Orchidee by Joji Locatelli was inspired by the yarn she found on a trip to Paris, just as summer was beginning.
The city felt light and romantic. Women walked by in flowing, delicate layers that struck me as effortlessly feminine. The color I chose seemed to ask for something equally soft and graceful.
So I designed Orchidee: a flattering V-neck silhouette, with simple lace bands that gently decorate the front, back, and sleeves.
It’s a piece that feels like a quiet celebration of womanhood.
Orchidee is worked seamlessly from the top-down.

Lauro Sweater by Minimi Knit Design is a raglan pullover with a lace motif running along the raglan lines and flowing through the body. It is inspired by the structural beauty of lauro leaves, whose Mediterranean perfume evokes summer.
The sweater is worked seamlessly from the top down, allowing you to easily adjust the length of both the body and the sleeves. The neckband is worked last by picking up stitches along the neckline. Short rows are used to shape the neckline.
This pattern is graded with inclusive sizing in mind, designed to fit actual bust sizes from 76 cm / 30 inches to 168 cm / 66 inches. Measurements are given in both cm and inches.

I finally have my first sleeve finished on my Kitsch Cardigan by Sedna Knitting Test Knit! The sleeve fits perfectly.

I have picked up the stitches and started the second sleeve. I really want to have it finished to bring with me on the Knitting Cruise later this month! I really should choose buttons and sew them on too!

SHOP UPDATE
Last February, I was excited to announce that Joanne O'Brien of Expedia Cruises invited us to participate in the Knit, Purl, Cruise they have organized for May 2026. Well the cruise date is coming up fast!
There are 20 of us including my sister Mary and myself in our group! We want everyone to have a wonderful time — to return home with new skills we’ve shared, inspiration for future projects, new friendships and connections, and a renewed appreciation for the art of enjoying “unstructured” vacation time.

The cruise starts on May 29th but my sister and I will be leaving May 25th to spend a few days in London with my friend Nita. My flight back is on June 12th but I wil be spending a couple of days in Kitchener visiting my mom and family.
The shop WILL BE OPEN while I am away. Paulette will be running things. Wednesday Knit Afternoons will continue with Paulette hosting. There will the Thursday Knit Nights, this week and next but will be cancelled Thursday May 28th, June 4th and 11th. The Thursday Knit Nights will resume on June 18th.

World Wide Knit and Crochet in Public Day 2026 is Saturday, June 13th but we will hold ours on Saturday, June 20th instead so mark your calendars.
Happy Wednesday, Happy Knitting, Crocheting and Crafting!
