It has been blustery and cold with sporadic rain but while today has been sunny out so when I am not sitting in front of my computer, I have been happy to sit and knit. I am not ready to start warm weather knits yet are you?

BIG Fritz by Isabell Kraemer is worked seamlessly from the top down. First some short rows are worked back and forth to create a higher back neck and then in rounds with a fun and beautiful colourwork pattern to sleeve separation.
The body is then worked in rounds down to the hem. Sleeves are worked top down to the cuffs last. An optional neck finishing is worked last. There are two fish motifs to choose from, one with the fish swimming downwards and one with the fish swimming upwards. You can mix and match these motifs as you like.

BIG Fritz is an adult sized companion of the lovely Fischers Fritz pullover.

Upstream by Faye Kennington was inspired by the strength and determination of salmon returning home, Upstream is a richly textured cardigan that rewards persistence with beauty. This design combines double seed stitch, beaded rib, a wave cable, and a unique fish cable motif into an intricate, cohesive whole.
Knit flat and seamed with drop shoulders, a mock turtleneck, and a button band, this cardigan is a true skill showcase. Advanced knitters will find plenty to sink their needles into: balancing multiple stitch patterns, shaping through increases, and following “at the same time” directions across several pages.
Challenging? Yes. But like the salmon swimming upstream, the journey is worth it. When you cast off, you’ll have a masterpiece to be proud of.

I was only able to knit another inch on my Jilli Jumper by Ann Ventzel so it doesn't look very different from last week.

My test knit for Sedna Yang was almost to the underarm bind off of the sleeve steek stitches last Friday.

With the three steek stitch sections, the project looks very different from how it will look later. It doesn't look at all like the cardigan it will be!

I love how the Rowan Felted Tweed Colour is subtly shifting colours especially against the black.

Often I will steam block before taking progress shots but I haven't with this test knit. The back has more stitches than the front which makes it harder.

Cecilia (@adventuremonkey6) finished another Emotional Support Chicken and an Emotional Support Chicken Jr both by Annette Corsino.

Debbie (@love.knit.spin.weave) finished this pair of Reynard and Vixen Mittens by Sarah L Kelly.

The pattern was designed for The Fibre Co Amble but Debbie who no longer lives locally used a different yarn.

Debbie (@love.knit.spin.weave) finished this pair of socks loosely based on Retro Rib Socks by Evelyn A. Clark knit using Timber Yarns Twin Sock.

Connie (knitnut246) finished her second pair of colourwork socks. These are Why are Flamingos Pink sock set by Stone Knits.

Dave (craftyborat) came into the shop for the first time wearing these fabulous Daily Tarot Mitts by Jacquline Rivera.

He knit these and the hat he designed to match using Kelbourne Woolens Perennial.

I can hardly believe that Dave has only been knitting less than a year. He said, "first time making up my own sort of pattern and then kinda winged it".
