Today was a perfect day out, sunny and a bit cooler with a bit of breeze! It is the perfect time to put on the summer tee you made last year and cast on another.

The Plain Yoke Tee 22 by LE KNIT by Lene Holme Samsøe is a very simple tee in stockinette stitch. If you are an absolute beginner, you can optionally skip the short rows on the yoke, so you only have to knit in the round. Then follow the pattern for the novice version, which is knitted exclusively with knit stitches. The Detailed Edition includes short rows on the yoke, knitted after the neckline, but beside that, the two versions are the same.

Plain Yoke Tee 22 is intended to have a positive ease of approx. 8-16 cm 3-6”, depending on how loosely fitting you want it to be. It is shown here with a positive ease of 14 cm 5.5“.
Find your personal bust circumference by measuring around your chest (or the widest part of your upper body). Then look at the measurements given at the beginning of the pattern (these are the finished measurements of the Tee). Positive ease is the difference between your personal measurement and the Tee measurement. For example, if your bust circumference is 94 cm 37”, a size M would provide you with a positive ease of 8 cm 3”m – 94 cm = 8 cm). 40” - 37” = 3”. A size L would provide you with a positive ease of 16 cm 6”m – 94 cm = 16 cm). 43” - 37” = 6”.

The Sommerknus by Elsebeth Judith is her summer version of her Knus. Sommerknus is a round yoke sweater worked from the top down with the possibility to adjust the length of the sleeves (short, 3/4 or long sleeves) and the body. The blouse/sweater has an all-over textured pattern. I have knit one before and plan to knit another soon!

My Sashiko Tee by Elenor Mortensen is moving along slowly as I catch up from my time away. I am loving the way the Julie Asselin Leizu Fingering is knitting up in this pattern.

This pic of the back shows how I have been using the ladderback jacquard technique to manage the long floats. I am on round 36 of the yoke chart.

SHOP UPDATE

World Wide Knit and Crochet in Public Day 2026 last Saturday was a success! We held it a week late because I was away! The weather cooperated with no rain and sunny but not humid temps.
As seems to happen too often. I forgot to do the draw between the company, the laughter and the eating!

Julie Asselin Lune has landed in the shop! Summer yarn of a light DK weight.
With the content of this yarn we are able to play with colors even more! We have the possibility of dyeing the fibers in various colors with the application of different dyeing method here at the studio. We have also worked together with the mill for some mill dyed colors that result in multi colored yarns that we have incorporated into the palette.
The Silk/Linen/Wool content makes for a beautiful drape and very breathable fabric.
