With grey skies, snow squalls, and frigid cold sweater weather, a cozy sweater, shawl or socks make the perfect projects to reach for.

The Arches Sweater by Odd Row is an oversize sweater with dropped saddle shoulders, made with highlighted increases. The characteristic increases add an elegant detail to the minimalistic design. Slits are made in the sides and the rib is made longer on the back piece than on the front piece.
The sweater is worked top-down. Stitches are cast on at the neck and worked back and forth in stockinette stitch with increases on both sides of the shoulders and at the front of the neck.
Stitches are cast on at the front of the neck and the work is joined to work in the round, with increases at the shoulders.
When the shoulders have the final width, the front piece and the shoulder pieces are set to rest while the back piece is worked back and forth with decreases at the armholes. The front piece is made in the same way.
The work is joined again and worked in the round on the body and finished with a rib edge with slits in the sides.
Stitches are knitted up in the neckline and a rib edge is worked.
The sleeves are worked one at a time. The shoulder stitches are transferred to the needle and stitches are knitted up along the rest of the armhole. Decreases are made along the inside of the sleeve and it is finished with a rib.

FOs and WIPs

I plan to knit a few more inches on my Mellow Mood Sweater before knitting the rib hem. Hopefully I will get the chance to work more on it this week.

Last night, I got the chance to put the pieces of my Felted Loafer Slippers together. Instead of sewing the pieces together, I crocheted the pieces together. They look so big compared to my crocs.

I will felt the slippers tonight!
