It was looking a little like spring outside but last night they predicted freezing rain! I am so happy we didn't get anything but rain and fog. Are you ready to start your warm weather knitting projects or will you continue your cozy projects for a few more weeks?

Like its cardigan sibling, it has that same squishy fabric, but the pullover wears a bit lighter and closer to the body. The marled brioche fabric blends colours automatically, so even very different yarns come together into a cohesive sweater.
Beautiful shaping keeps it comfortable to wear, while the fabric does most of the color work for you.
Design Details
Hearthside Pullover has a shaped V neckline, structured shoulders, and gently fitted sleeves. Garter stitch at the hem, cuffs, and collar balances the brioche texture and gives the sweater stability.
The brioche creates a plush, dimensional fabric while the garter edges keep everything modern. Because the brioche is marled the colors you use will blend beautifully.
Every version ends up looking a little different depending on the yarns you choose.

FOs and WIPs

8 days after casting on my Jilli Jumper by Ann Ventzel, I was almost to the separation of the body and the sleeves.

A fews hours later, I had taken the off the sleeves onto waste yarn and knit a few rounds of the body. It looks like I chose the right size! I was rushing because late last Tuesday night I saw a post for a test call for a beautiful cardigan and I applied at the tail end of 3 pages!

I found out the next day that I would be test knitting this beauty for Sedna Yang so my Jilli is on hold except for when I won't be able to concentrate and need the easy knit.

I have the flat knit part completed and it is now knit in the round with steek stitches for the sleeves and the front. I chose to use Rowan Felted Tweed for the main colour and Rowan Felted Tweed Colour for the contrast.

This is the colour I am using for my contrast colour. I must say that deciding what colours to use - whether light with less contrast or dark with a lot of contrast was difficult!

UPCOMING CLASSES
Reminder to check out the remaing classes set to start in March and to sign up and register if you are interested!

In this one, I used The Fibre Co Arranmore Light as the MC throughout. I alternated 2 balls of Schoppel Wolle Zauberball Starke 6 every 20 rows.
There are two classes starting April 18th. There are 2 spots left for The First Cardigan Class. I may change the time to 10 until noon though since we no longer have a 9am class. The other is the popular Colourwork and Steeking Class where we knit Sheep Carousel by Kate Davies. This jolly tea cosy features a carousel of Shetland sheep and offers a small sampler of many of her favourite hand-knitting techniques: stranded colourwork, steeks, vikkel braids, corrugated ribbing, i-cord and centred double decreases. A small project packed with a lot!
Happy Wednesday, Happy Knitting, Crocheting and Crafting!
