It was grey, wet and windy outside today without any hint of the warm weather we've been getting. Now that spring is here and the snow is hopefully a distant memory, let's get into spring yarns and knits.

The Noomi Tee by LE KNIT by Lene Holme Samsøe has four lace borders on the yoke resemble shells on a row. It may look complicated, but the pattern is formed by simple combinations of yarn overs and purl stitches. The Noomi Tee is worked from the top down, and the neckline is shaped with short rows after the neckband has been worked.

The Poppy Tee by PetiteKnit is worked from the top down. First the top part of the back yoke is worked with increases, then the shoulders are worked from stitches that are picked up and knitted along the slanting sides at the back yoke. Stitches are then picked up and knitted along the sides of the shoulders and the rest of the yoke is worked together on the circular needle, first back and forth and then in the round. The body is worked in the round on a circular needle, and the sleeves are worked in the round on double-pointed needles or on a circular needle using the Magic Loop technique. At the end a folded neck edge with built in double knitting is worked.

On Monday morning, I took this progress shot of for my Kitsch Cardigan by Sedna Knitting Test Knit. Last week I knit the afterthought pockets which is definitely not my preferred way to knit pockets. Because the fabric is stranded colourwork with floats, picking up the stitches for the lower stitches was tricky and I almost lost some stitches but I was able to fix it.
Since I used 3.0mm needles for my main needles to get gauge, I used 2.75mm needles for my pocket and hem ribbing. My 1x1 ribbing is finished and I am ready to reinforce my steek stitches.

By lunch time, I had reinforced my steek stitches using a 2.5mm crochet hook to work single crochet through one leg of first steek stitch and one leg of the second all the way up to the neck and repeating it on the other side of centre steek stitch.

After cutting my steek, I picked up for the front bands. I have one more row of ribbing before I bind off.
