There is a nip in the air in the morning and again at night already. I am ready to enjoy sweater weather but is it sweater weather yet? Are you wearing your summer knits or fall knits!
I look forward to fall with the wonderful change in season colours. This year I have not spent nearly as much time on the back patio knitting but as the weather cools, I should take advantage of our remaining outdoor knitting opportunities.
I can't quite believe that this weekend is the Labour Day long weekend! Is it sweater weather yet? Maybe not quite yet especially with the heat wave they are expecting but maybe it is time to start knitting them? What is on your needles?
It is still too hot out sometimes and sometimes it isn't and already the nights have started cooling down! It has also started getting dark earlier too, perfect for starting a new project or finishing one that was put away for the summer.
I hope that you have been enjoying summer despite the mixed bag of weather! Have you been staying indoors out of the humidity to knit like me? Most summers I try to sit out more than I have felt like this year.
Can you believe that summer is half finished? September is coming up fast! Have you started thinking about fall projects or are you ready cast on your gift knitting?
If you have been wondering...No there wasn't a newsletter last week. I have been under the weather and sleeping a lot! This one will be shorter!
Are you enjoying your summer so far? I am even though it has been hot, humid and just bit more wet than I like! It definitely makes it easy to sit back, relax and knit, knit, knit or make, make, make!
It was wet outside today but not as hot! We really shouldn't complain though because it could be hotter with no air conditioning! I am truly thankful that most of us have the luxury of being able to stay inside where it is dry and cool.
It has been too hot, too wet or too windy to be outdoors for long with the recent humidity and recent rain but it has been the perfect excuse to stay indoors and knit indoors!
It has been a long week plus for my husband and I. Ed went in for routine surgery and what should have been an overnight stay is now on day 10. I was able to pick him up today so he is finally back home. My apologies to those who came by the shop to find it closed after lunch.
Does it feel like summer is officially here? Are you are making use of cottons, cotton blends and linens or fingering weight yarns for some summer knits to wear?
Saturday is our annual Sue2Knits Knit in Public Day! Go Public, Go Social...Go Knitting in Public Yeah!
From 10 until 5 pm. So far it looks like we will have a great day so I look forward to seeing you! Bring yourself, your knitting, crochet, weave or yarnie project and join in some socializing and fibre fun with us!
This week's crazy wet, grey and humid weather was not at all what I expected! Let's hope we have a great weekend ahead of us where we can take advantage of it to spend it outdoors enjoying some sun while sitting and knitting or spending some time gardening.
