It is officially fall with our evenings coming sooner and weather that has not made up its mind yet. I find myself starting out in a summer sweater but having to either change into a warmer sweater and throwing on a shawl!
I am back! it was a busy 10 days with not a lot of knitting or relaxation time but now I am ready to enjoy sweater weather but is it sweater weather yet? Maybe not quite but it is definitely time to start knitting them.
I can't believe that it is the last week of August and that it is almost September. With summer winding down, are you anticipating the cooler fall weather? Are you still knitting for summer or are you knitting for sweater weather?
Well it still too hot out sometimes and sometimes it isn't and already the nights have started cooling down! It is already getting dark earlier too and despite the heavy downpour yesterday evening, I had a big turnout for Knit Night!
Can you believe that it is almost the middle of August? September is coming up fast and there are 19 weeks until Christmas...Are you thinking about fall projects yet or have you already cast on your gift knitting?
It has been a hot and humid summer so far and I have not ventured outside much even though I have a wonderful gazebo to sit in! The only time I have been spending outdoors is during my weekly spinning group nights!
Can you believe it? It is almost the end of July and this is the August 1 Civic Holiday long weekend! Are you planning a mini getaway or are you staying put?
Oh but it has been really hot outside! We really shouldn't complain though because it could be hotter or there could be no air conditioning! I am truly thankful that most of us have the luxury of being able to stay inside and cool.
How are you enjoying your summer so far? Are you enjoying car rides, trips to visit family, walks under clear blue skies and knitting outdoors in the sunshine?
I love to knit all year round especially summer sweaters! Are you a summer knitter or maker of summer sweaters or do you prefer smaller projects like socks or a shawl?
Enjoy the moments this Canada Day weekend! It is hot, humid and it looks like it might storm...Were you out and about or did you stay inside where it was cool and knitting like me?
Summer is officially here! Summer makes using cottons, cotton blends and linens or fingering weight yarns more enjoyable to work with for our summer knits and to of course, to wear!
It is definitely feeling like summer outside. Some of us don't knit much in the summer but I can't say that I ever put my needles down...I knit and make year round and I hope you do too!
Tomorrow is our fourth annual Sue2Knits Knit in Public Day! Go Public, Go Social...Go Knitting in Public Yeah!
